Sarnia Yachts has for some time felt that to complete its already comprehensive offering to clients and owners, it needed to have a presence in Malta. It has now opened a group office under the name Sarnia Yachts (Malta) Limited.
The opening of the Malta group office has also coincided with some important changes in the treatment of VAT in other EU jurisdictions, notably the Isle of Man, so the timing could not be better.
Sarnia Yachts can provide a Maltese service offering to its clients including Maltese Leasing, the VAT registration of Maltese and non Maltese yacht owing companies that are planning to undertake commercial charter operations in EU waters and also yacht importation services.
The Maltese offerings can then be complemented where required by Sarnia Crew in Guernsey providing a non-EU crew employment & payroll service that conforms to both to the latest EU social security legislation and the upcoming Maritime Labour Convention 2006.
