Sarnia’s Dan Armsden and Julia O’Brien will be attending the 2018 MYBA Charter Show which is being held at Marina Port Vell in Barcelona. The show runs from Monday 23rd to Thursday 26th April and the Sarnia stand is located on Moll d’Espanya stand number 46.
This year is the 30th edition of the MYBA Charter show, but only the second year in Barcelona since moving from Genoa in 2017 and promises to be the best show yet. Over the four days the Sarnia team will be meeting with existing and new captains, owners and crew as well as attending seminars and catching up with other professionals from across the industry.

The closed attendance show is aimed at generating charter business for attending yachts as well as bringing together the world’s leading charter brokers, yacht managers,yacht fiduciaries and other support services providing them with the opportunity to meet captains and crew.

Yacht & Crew Technical Manager
With over twenty years’ experience in the yacht industry, Dan has in-depth knowledge of crew employment and yacht compliance support. Dan led the momentous project to get over 50 yachts from ten different flags to comply with the Maritime Labour Convention (2006). He now regularly liaises with clients and captains regarding crew employment structures and management, as well as flag selection and safe manning.
Client Services Manager
Julia deals with sales brokers, clients, lawyers and registry staff on a day-to-day basis, assisting them in getting all their documentation organised for flag registration and new business. Her keen knowledge of the industry ensures that the process is a smooth experience for the owner so that they can enjoy their yachts.
