Malta - One Year On

posted by Patrick Spiteri

Sarnia Yachts' Malta office in Floriana opened its doors 12 months ago. The team has gone from strength to strength over that period, providing company, VAT, flag, leasing, importation, compliance and accounting services to both existing and new Sarnia clients.

Most VAT, flag, customs and company arrangements are made face-to-face with individuals at the relevant local authorities, regulators and state departments. Having a local office in Malta means Sarnia can maintain control of every step of the process.

We have strong relationships with regulators and state department such as VAT, Malta Financial Services Authority and Transport Malta.   This ensures we can continue to offer the highest level of service to our clients.

Maltese Leasing continues to be a popular VAT scheme for many private yacht owners. Over the last year we have welcomed a large number of yachts to Malta to either commence or conclude these arrangements.

Several of our commercial yachts have also taken the trip to Malta for EU importation purposes and to explore our local coastline and associated anchorages.

With the boat show season fast approaching, we are getting ready to meet existing and new clients and other yacht industry professionals. Sarnia looks forward to welcoming you to our stand (number QS65) in tent Darse Sud at the Monaco Yacht Show where both the Malta and Guernsey teams will be represented.
